Mustache and
beard hair transplant
A mustache and/or beard transplant is a permanent solution if the hair on your face is completely or partially missing. This may be natural, it may also be due to a scar or you may find that the thickness of the hair is not sufficient. The natural result of the treatment is permanent. The procedure is virtually painless and you will not be left with any scars.
How does the FUE method work?
A mustache or beard transplant is done using the FUE method (Follicle Unit Extraction). Our hairtechnician removes grafts (hair follicles) one by one from a donor area at the back of your head. The grafts are checked for quality and then placed back one by one in the places where you want them. The transplanted grafts continue to produce hair for the rest of your life.
The number of grafts needed depends on the area of the bald or sparsely haired area and the graft density. The number of grafts in a mustache or beard transplant can vary from 50 to 1500 grafts. During a free consultation, one of our medical specialists will make an accurate assessment. The treatment takes between four and seven hours.
our method
Step 1: Sign off
The beard transplant is a serious process with exact details. This procedure can take place in one session or it can take place in multiple sessions. That depends on where and how much needs to be applied. That is why you first make an appointment with our consultation to see together what we can do for you.
Step 2: Anesthesia
Similar to the hair transplant, the beard transplant is also performed using local anesthesia. This means there is no pain during the operation. With the FUE method
hair roots taken from the hair crown or another donor site and encoded using its genetic structure. It has a natural look because it is taken from the person's own head and it also has a permanent beard shape.
Step 3: Collect the follicles
The process can take from 1-1.5 to 5-6 hours, depending on where the beard transplant takes place and how much is transplanted. Your skin must first recover from the procedure. We will ensure that you receive the correct medication and you can always contact us.
Step 4: Implanting grafts
After about 3 to 4 months, the first results of your beard transplant will be noticeable. The result will eventually become fully visible after 12 to 13 months. After 3-7 months the hairs start to grow well and the results become visible. The results are best visible after 12 months. Under ideal conditions, the transplanted hair will continue to produce hair throughout your life.
Precision
All of this is done with extreme precision, so that the transplanted hairs ultimately have a natural growth direction. All hair root groups (grafts) are transferred, or transplanted, to the desired location on the head without stitches.
The hair follicles on the hair crown at the back of the head are immune to the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is responsible for baldness. The hair roots from the donor area (the hair ring) simply continue to grow in the place where they were transplanted. At the back of the head, the hair roots can produce hair again, but in many cases a tiny white spot (scar) will be visible.
